Hello and thank you lot for the reply.

I had a VPN not long ago which I Uninstalled soon after.

Today I noticed a Tap-windows adapter and deactivated it.

I think that's when the issues started.

I did as you suggested and some adapters were remove from the device manager list. Only the "real ones" remain but the aforementioned fault is shown [code 56]

What VPN you have before is information technology the CheckPoint VPN? Make sure that information technology was completely uninstalled

It was the Hotspot Shield VPN. I believe it is completely uninstalled at present.

Equally for manually installing drivers, I download both the cable and wireless network adapter drivers from the Lenovo website.

For the Realtek one, when I try to update, it tells me that the best driver is already installed.

For the Intel one, later I indicate the folder I extracted it to, it takes ages to install and eventually it shows a message saying in that location was a timeout error. Nonetheless, after closing that window I noticed the date of the commuter alter to February 2020 while earlier it was a 2018 driver.

So, nevertheless the same lawmaking 56 in both adapters.

I institute a arrangement restoration indicate from two days ago, so I used arrangement recorevery and the Realtek LAN adapter is working again at present.

The Intel Wireless Adapter is even so with the aforementioned issue (I had not used Wireless adapter in a long while and then I'thou not sure when it stopped working)

While investigating possible sources of the problem I noticed I don't accept the well-nigh recent Windows 10 update (build 2004). I tried to update via Windows Update simply I got an error (didn't copy the mistake code, sorry) and now, when I search for updates, it doesn't show any even tough I'yard still on build 1909.
